My Story

Here’s a glimpse into my life.

A Shift Toward What Matters

Hi, I'm Kristi owner and operator of this small veteran owned business in Romeo, Michigan. I recently retired from the U.S. Air Force after devoting 20 years of service to this great country. I loved being part of the Air Force, along with my husband Nick who also served for 6 years, but I knew that my service would eventually come to a conclusion and I would need to venture onto my next path in life. I have always had a passion for health, fitness and nutrition, and consider myself a lifetime student when it comes to all things in those areas. I studied Health and Sports Sciences and earned a Bachelor's degree specializing in exercise science and I'm a group fitness coach at F45 in Shelby Twp. The herbal tea side of my business came first after retirement, tea had been a daily ritual for me for quite sometime so making my own blends based on things I have learned just kind of fell right into place as a next step for me. I hope you love all the blends I have created as much as I do! And now for the story behind the sourdough... Sourdough has definitely become my most recent passion and I love being able to share it with you all💗. It's becoming increasingly hard to find good quality food at the grocery store without a million ingredients, which led me to making my own 🙂 I started baking bread just over a year ago now and with your support this has ultimately blossomed into an amazing business. I love continuing to fine tune my skills and add new things to the menu and experiment with recipes.

Dedicated to Quality

Quality is the foundation of everything I create. I focus on delivering herbal teas made with organic and wild-crafted ingredients and work directly with local suppliers and U.S.-based companies to ensure consistent freshness and integrity.  My traditional sourdough is made from scratch with only flour, water, and salt using all organic ingredients. All sourdough products are made fresh when ordered.

My Standards

  • Partnering with trusted domestic growers and suppliers
  • Sourcing organic and wild-crafted botanicals
  • Producing small-batch blends for optimal freshness

The Homestead

Right now, my husband and I are also focused on building up our little 4 acre homestead which currently consists of 1 dog, 2 cats, and 33 chickens and 4 guinea fowl (more animals always in the plans😉). We have a young orchard started and also a large garden in the works for this year. When I am not making tea, baking bread, managing the homestead, or coaching at F45 Shelby 26 mile (the amazing gym I work at), you will probably find me outside working on a project or getting some sun. We love the idea of being self-sufficient and strive to produce much of what we use from scratch or buy from local farmers.

The Future

New sourdough offerings are always in development. I'm constantly experimenting and refining, so keep an eye out for new items on the menu.

Keep in Touch

I'm excited for what's coming next. Stay connected as this journey continues.
